Securing the large amount of data that is created each and every day is a monumental task. The constant threat from hackers who are trying to access your information means the security measures you use have to work every time an attempt is made. An effective data loss or leak prevention solution protects your data at all times even while it is in use, in motion or at-rest. The risk of data loss or leak becomes that much greater when services are outsourced. NTT Com announced it is going to provide network profiling, file verification and data loss prevention (DLP) for total outsourcing security risk management solutions as part of its Managed Security Services.
The service is especially geared towards cyber attacks targeting enterprises. It will protect ICT environments by detecting threats and reducing the risk of data leakage resulting from targeted attacks by giving customers tools with strong security measures.

TMCnet Email Hosting Week in Review
With this offering in place, partners can see a much greater level of control and flexibility over e-mail messaging data.
"We are constantly striving to make our suite of services the industry's most efficient and effective platform for MSPs to squeeze the highest margins out of their services," said Matt Baldwin, CTO at VAR Dynamics.
Also this week, Zarafa inked a partnership with Yubico to integrate YubiKey security into its email hosting offering. This strategic alliance was made in hopes of driving server level security for customers while gaining a competitive edge against Microsoft Exchange. Powered by an open source software suite, this product can be seamlessly integrated with common open source components and can successfully run on various platforms including Linux, Red Hat, SUSE Linux Enterprise, Debian and Ubuntu (News - Alert).
“The YubiKey is a cheap hardware authentication token that looks like a small USB memory stick,” according to a statement by company officials. “By touching the integrated button, the YubiKey sends a time-variant, secure login code as if it was typed in from a keyboard. The unique passcode is verified by a YubiKey compliant Web service or software application.”
Lastly, Microsoft revealed that it just made it much easier for users to view information via Outlook. In fact, the revamped version of the offering coined Outlook 13 will come complete with a hybrid cached mode. Touted as the first real change to Outlook since 2003, this added capability will help IT managers see exactly what’s going on in every area of their infrastructure.
Moreover, it will make it much less complex to switch from the online to local access loading.

Applied Nanotech Holdings has been awarded a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant, worth $999,990, from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop ultra-lightweight hydrogen fuel tanks using carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforcement. The two-year grant aims to significantly improve the mechanical properties of the carbon fiber/epoxy material used to construct hydrogen fuel tanks with CNT reinforcement. The goal is to reduce the weight of the tanks by 20 percent or more, in order to cut the cost of hydrogen fuel tanks and increase the vehicles’ fuel efficiency.
Organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), which can be used to create digital displays in television screens, computer monitors and mobile phones, earned revenue of more than $1.69 billion in 2011, according to a report just released by Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert). In OLEDS, a film made of an organic compound emits light in response to an electric current. OLED displays can use either passive-matrix (PMOLED) or active-matrix (AMOLED) addressing schemes. AMOLEDs require a thin-film transistor backplane to switch each individual pixel on or off, but allow for higher resolution and larger display sizes.
The report contends that OLEDs have an advantage over liquid crystal displays (LCD) because their OLED displays are thinner, lightweight and printable. That’s all for this week, but green energy never stops. Check back next week for more!

Israel Brokerage & Investments (IBI), Ltd. A leading company listed in The Israeli Stock Exchange Market offers a broad range of investment management and trading. One of the biggest fears a company can experience is complete operation shut down during disaster. Last year, IBI Investments, experienced this exact situation when a floor of their building (below them) caught on fire. Fortunately all the workers were able to exit safely. Even more fortunately, the Tikal Networks IP-PBX and Crystal Call Center was hosted in a remote location. Tikal Networks developed a unique feature called "remote agent". This feature gives every user the ability to call from a remote location and use all the features available at their desk. This gives any user the ability to keep on working without any change in features or operations. To assure complete uninterrupted operation, IBI's IT management also took the precaution to host the telephony system off the premises. This way, no single event can prevent the operation from regular operation.
