“One of the key benefits of the Ambient solution is its flexibility, which we believe should be afforded not only by the communications options that we provide, but also by the potential carriers that our customers can use. We are delighted to have achieved this additional certification with Sprint, and pleased that we can now offer our customers the added functionality that the MC8355 module provides,” said John J. Joyce, president and CEO of Ambient Corporation.
Another Sprint partner is Chrysler. The auto manufacturer chose to work with Sprint on its Uconnect program. Uconnect will enable a host of connected services on upcoming Chrysler vehicles. The 2013 Ram 1500 and the 2013 SRT Viper will feature the technology, which will allow them to connect to emergency services, activate navigation systems and even provide rear-seat entertainment.
