Qualcomm Takes Top Slot in Telematics Study, MiX Making Up Ground Quickly

- Alert) scored so highly in this latest study. The field is still quite spread out, as Qualcomm holds just six percent of the market. That is still a great deal larger than the company’s closest competitors.

ABI did note one up-and-coming company that is still in the back of the pack, but making progress. MiX Telematics finished seventh in the recent survey but ABI is labeling the company as “one to watch” thanks to how quickly it actually is climbing up the charts. 

One ABI Research analysts was bullish on MiX in a recent press release saying, “Having recently moved beyond its South African home market into the Middle East, Latin America, and the United States, while also expanding its European base, the company’s regional coverage is improving. This, in addition to the fact that features such as real-time traffic and turn-by-turn navigation are now finding their way into MiX’s solutions means that the company is sure to rank even higher next time around.”
