TMCnet SIP Trunking Week in Review

- Alert) released a new hosted and managed services solution for government agencies called Government Outsourcing Solutions (GovOS). Based on SIP architecture, the solution will provide centrally managed solutions for individual users while meeting the security and certification needs of the Federal government.

In addition to releasing new products, several companies also formed new partnerships. Optimum Voice by Cablevision announced that its SIP trunking is now interoperable with Toshiba’s Business VoIP Telephone Systems. Also, ThinkGrid became a reseller for IntelePeer’s CoreCloud SIP trunking service, which will enable businesses to cut their time-to-deployment for applications like Microsoft Lync.

In the world of security, Chinese telecom reseller BOCO began offering WISeKey’s WISeID solution, which helps users to keep personal and proprietary information secure. The partners will also be developing a technology Center of Excellence, and WISeKey will help BOCO to establish an IT security practice on the Chinese mainland.
