Design Schematic Appears to Show Next iPhone Front Panel

The rumor mill has really been piling on with rumors of the next iPhone, which isn’t expected until this fall. The latest is a spy shot of a schematic which appears to show the front of the handset -- and yes, it matches the larger screen that keeps turning up.

AppleInsider is reporting that iPhone repair company iLab Factory has posted an image which appears to be a design schematic for the next iPhone. Given that it looks a lot like the existing iPhone, how can one tell? The device appears to be taller than the current models, in keeping with rumors of a four-inch display.

Rumor: New 15-Inch MacBook Pro Features USB 3.0, Retina Display, Thin Design

Most of the recent rumors about a new MacBook Pro have been focused on it being as thin as a MacBook Air -- but that may be wishful thinking, according to trusted sources who are spilling the beans on the forthcoming 15-inch model.

9to5Mac has donned its tin hat again and filed an extensive report on what may be coming with this year’s 15-inch MacBook Pro. Those of you hoping for an ultra-thin design like the MacBook Air may be disappointed, but let’s face it: That was probably a pipe dream anyway.

Nameplates For Industry, Inc. Launches New Membrane Switch Design Guide

By Arvind Arora TMCnet Contributor

Nameplates For Industry, Inc. or ‘NFi,’ a provider of customized printed nameplates, faceplates, membrane switches, decals, labels, serial number tags, tamper-proof seals, keypad and back-lit graphic overlays, plastic cards and templates, has announced the introduction of a new 12-page design guide that will allow product designers to decide which membrane switch design will be more suitable for their product, equipment or instrumentation.

NFi is associated with the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association or SGIA and the Graphic & Product Identification Manufacturers Association or GPI, and has been given a number of international awards. NFi is well known for its advanced features such as four-color process and halftone creation, in-house image setting and Urethane Doming, extensive UL/CSA recognized products and a caring customer services staff.

The new design guide unveiled by NFi includes vital information on a number of topics such as user interfaces, material selection, aesthetic considerations, ESD/EMI/RFI (News - Alert) shielding and connectivity issues.

Named ‘NFi Membrane Switch Design Guide,’ the comprehensively illustrated booklet throws light upon various kinds of membrane switches available and the different user interfaces with graphic overlays including features such as embossing, display windows, selective texturing, material selection and interchangeable legends. Additionally, the guide also includes equipment interface criteria, support panels and technical specifications as well.

Using the new guide, customers of NFi will be able to make better decisions about which type of membrane switch will be able to suit their needs better, and the various design parameters that must be taken into account before soliciting quotations. Similarly, the 12-page design guide by NFi also provides a variety of ‘designer elements’ that must be considered while using and installing the components. For downloading the NFi Membrane Switch Design Guide, please click here.

In other news from December 2011, NFi introduced product identification labels that can be fully integrated with QR (quick response) codes and the full-color printing of custom graphics on a variety of substrates.

These multipurpose QR code labels can be designed and produced for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. NFi QR Code Labels feature printed QR codes fully integrated with product identification labels in virtually any color, size, shape, and substrate-adhesive combination; supplied individually or in sets.
