Senior VP of marketing Phil Schiller followed up his introduction of the iPhone 5 by bringing EA Studios executive producer Rob Murray to the stage to show off the company's new Real Racing 3, which offers "full console quality" on Cupertino's A6-powered handset.
Rear-view mirrors have been included in Real Racing 3 for the first time, and the graphics on display appeared richer and more detailed than previous versions.
Real Racing 3 also takes advantage of time-shifted head-to-head driving through Game Center, allowing players to see competitors head of them.
"Real tracks, real cars, real people you can play against anytime you like," Murray explained at the close of the demo.
Real Racing 3 for iOS is expected by the end of 2012, with a Mac version following close behind.
