European Telecommunications Carrier to Commercialize KoolSpan's Encryption Solution

KoolSpan (News - Alert), Inc. recently announced that its Trust Suite of products, which includes the TrustCall solution, will now be commercialized by a global telecommunications carrier across Europe and other countries. This strategic move by KoolSpan will further consolidate its market position as a top player within the mobile security space.

The company’s encrypted mobile voice service offering, which integrates its TrustChip and TrustCall offerings within a two-factor cell phone encryption solution, will be made available for deployment by government agencies, and law enforcement agencies, financial firms, and global business customers.

KoolSpan’s TrustChip offering has been designed as a fully hardened and self-contained crypto engine which can be inserted into the microSD slot of a smartphone while the TrustCall application has been designed with robust security functions of the TrustChip so users can place and receive encrypted calls easily.

In a release Gregg Smith, CEO of KoolSpan, said that, “Being selected by a major telecommunications player is a strong endorsement of the validity of our encryption solution. As KoolSpan moves into Europe and other countries we will solidify our solution as a global leader in the mobile security space. By offering our Trust Suite of products, telecommunications operators can differentiate themselves from competitors and establish a competitive advantage with the most innovative mobile encryption products on the global market.”

Smith also explained that there is a growing requirement for mobile security which is reliable and secure from both business and government customers. Reliable mobile security is of special relevance within the Android (News - Alert) market space.

KoolSpan develops a range of data encryption and security products specifically for the mobile market. The company’s microSD-based TrustChip mobile encryption engine which drives mobile security has been both tested and deployed across the globe.  

In other news from October 2011, KoolSpan announced that Founder and Chief Scientist Tony Fascenda has been awarded four new patents by the U.S. Patent Office on behalf of the company.
