U.S. Government to Share Spectrum with Commercial Wireless Carriers

The U.S. federal government has agreed to share a small portion of its spectrum with commercial wireless operators in response to the growing outcry over what experts describe “spectrum crunch.”

The decision will make way for wireless companies to access another 95 megahertz of spectrum, allowing them to free up airwaves in favor of mobile broadband users.
