LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 iOS Review
Packing all of the goofy charm of its predecessor and then some, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 is bursting with personality and plenty of lighthearted fantasy adventure fare set across the final three books (or four films) in the renowned series. While this latest playful jaunt to the wizarding world doesn't mess too much with the core foundation laid down in the previous installment, a few troublesome tweaks keep it from being a smooth journey.
Guiding Harry and his young cohorts through the halls of Hogwarts and beyond is still a fun exercise in thrashing environments to collect coin studs and using a grab bag of iconic spells and abilities to overcome light puzzle obstacles. And luckily, swapping characters to wield their special abilities and dueling rival wizards adds some variety to the mix. Working through the many creatively re-imagined scenes is delightful too, but the overhauled control scheme often gets in the way during combat or when navigating amongst busier scenes. A new virtual thumb pad interface replaces the tap-and-swipe controls from Years 1-4, but the convoluted cluster of small buttons used for handling spells, jumping, character swapping, and puzzle interaction makes it far too easy to slip and hit the wrong action.
Wrestling with the controls is awkward at best, but what Years 5-7 lacks in precision it mostly makes up for in content. With lots of unlockable characters, collectibles, mini-games, and clever stage designs that encourage high replay, there's a lot to stay occupied with beyond pushing through the main game. The campaign is lengthy too. It's broken down into bite-sized digestible bits that are a good fit for portable play, despite some repetitive stretches that recycle gameplay elements and ideas.
The bottom line. Puzzlingly designed controls prove problematic at times, but LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 still captivates with its humor and addictive smash-and-grab quest.

VoIP Supply Celebrates 10 Years of Success
VoIP Supply LLC, a major supplier of VoIP equipment and unified communication solutions, recently celebrated 10 years of its success in the business. Since 2002, the company has delivered valuable solutions for some 100,000 customers worldwide.
The company unveiled 2,500 products and solutions that have met the requirements of consumers, businesses, service providers and resellers.
In 2002, Benjamin P Sayers founded B2 Technologies, a software developer focused on creating a stock trading platform based on Trade Station. After few months, however, he decided to transform the company from a software development company into an IT asset management firm, assisting companies looking to liquidate their IT infrastructure.
In 2003, Garrett Smith (News - Alert), VoIP Supply's current Chief Marketing Officer, joined the team as a sales executive. At the end of 2003, B2 Technologies recorded $2.4 million in sales.
Seeing the scope for VoIP solutions, B2 Technologies launched VoIPSupply (News - Alert).com in 2004. VoIPSupply.com found immediate success, establishing itself as a top VoIP solution provider by the end of 2004.
B2 Technologies finished 2004 with 7.1 million in sales, 14 employees and made the decision to focus 100 percent on VoIP during 2005 and beyond.
The company has won several awards for its solutions and impeccable customer service. Honors include spots in INC 5000 (2007, 2008 and 2009), Top 100 Private Companies in WNY (2009), CRN Fast Growth 100 List (2008) and Best Place to Work in WNY (2008).
"We treat our customers the way we want to be treated when we call in for advice or support. If I've got questions, I want to speak with someone who can answer my questions, our customers do as well," said VoIP Supply founder and CEO Benjamin P. Sayers, in a statement. "That's what differentiates us from other suppliers. All of our people have real expertise in the products and services that we sell and support. Our customers can always reach someone who can help them."
Last year, VoIP Supply was distinguished as a Polycom (News
