Monica Gleberman writes that enterprises are looking at communications in a completely different way and want to take full advantage of advances in technology and virtualized services. Companies not only want to use their IP-PBX (News - Alert) systems, but communicate with others outside of the enterprise using an SIP trunking service. In another story, TMCnet reported that SIP trunking solutions help empower employees to work on-the-go while remaining just as productive as they would be in an office.
