TMCnet's SIP Trunking Week in Review

It was a busy week in the SIP Trunking sector. Here are some of the major stories from TMCnet.

Monica Gleberman writes that enterprises are looking at communications in a completely different way and want to take full advantage of advances in technology and virtualized services. Companies not only want to use their IP-PBX (News - Alert) systems, but communicate with others outside of the enterprise using an SIP trunking service. For instance, Qoncert, a gold-certified partner with Cisco, incorporated IntelePeer (News - Alert) CoreCloud SIP trunking services with its current system.


In another story, TMCnet reported that SIP trunking solutions help empower employees to work on-the-go while remaining just as productive as they would be in an office. SIP trunking also offers a Session Border Controller which can help to protect a company’s voice network from poor quality and other associated problems. InGate President Steve Johnson (News - Alert) told TMCnet about the ways in which he has seen SIP trunking grow over recent months and some of its benefits.
